OVERVIEW:
Nugget, a direct-to-consumer kids furniture brand, is looking for an experienced Social Media Community Manager to engage, grow, and sustain Nugget's online community. As a DTC brand, we lean on our social media channels to build rapport with our customers, bring our brand to life, and at the end of the day, have fun with our Nuggeteer community! From thoughtfully engaging in discussion via DMs and comments to providing a direct insight into what customers are chatting about – the Community Manager plays a pivotal role in how Nugget shows up in the digital world. This role may be perfect for you if you:
- Will be just as happy bantering with someone asking "Wait, was that a clue?!" as you are replying to the 10th person that asks "When is [insert color] coming back??"
- Prioritize and find enjoyment in building and experiencing inclusive online communities

ABOUT THIS ROLE:
- You'll build and foster community via our social media platforms (including Facebook, Instagram, Youtube, and TikTok) by interacting with consumers using Nugget's tone & voice, and managing our social-only programs (like Nug Fairy!)
- You'll respond to DM's and comments in a timely manner with the goal of engaging consumers, building community, and maintaining a Nuggety Corner of the Internet
- You'll collaborate closely with our Social Media Manager to ideate and create fun, fresh ideas – helping create a social calendar that drives engagement and brand love
- You'll post content, monitor, and update company social pages and profiles on a regular basis
- You'll moderate user-generated content, identifying potential creative opportunities and connecting with consumers
- You'll track and report on strategic KPIs regarding community engagement metrics
ABOUT YOU:
- You have 2-4 years of experience in Social Media or Community Management roles, preferably for a brand and/or DTC company
- You are knowledgeable and passionate about social media as a tool for connection and brand marketing
- You understand how social KPIs track engagement and performance, and have experience measuring and communicating results – you love identifying a big "aha" moment from the data, and sharing your insights and recommendations
- You have excellent writing and communication skills, with the ability to convey a company's brand voice and humor through written word
- You are passionate about creativity and innovation, and are always looking for new and better ways to build community.
- You thrive in an independent, autonomous work environment and have strong time management and prioritization skills - but also enjoy opportunities to collaborate and work alongside others on your team!
- You are naturally empathetic, but not afraid to enforce boundaries with consumers to support the brand and team
- You are innately curious and comfortable with ambiguity - you ask "why" and "how come" and come to the table with ways to get answers
- You are passionate about working with people and developing strong relationships with customers – gaining insight into customer needs, thinking creatively to provide solutions, and proactively looking for ways to improve our customers' experience
- You are skilled at effectively building formal and informal relationship networks and maintaining relationships inside and outside the organization
- You can adapt your approach to match the shifting demands of different situations, understanding that different scenarios may call for different approaches
- You approach work with a "no job is too small" attitude, and have a curious mind - always willing to learn and grow your imagination

This comes from research that shows negotiations often result in arbitrary differences in pay – not based on differences in ability, but based on who is better at negotiating.
