Job Title: Marketing Content Specialist (Content Creator)

Strt = ASAP

Duration = 3 months with a possible extension

Freelance, Onsite in San Diego, CA office

Pay = $26/hr - $32/hr



SUMMARY
Responsible for heightening our client's digital portfolio by leveraging digital marketing best practices. The Marketing Content Specialist will help us create, categorize and publish content that engages audiences across social media platforms.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Create high quality branded content that positively and accurately reflects our brands.
  • Conceive, create and post organic content on ALL social channels including Instagram,
Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn & TikTok.
  • Responsible for capturing, editing, and delivering finished assets for social media, YouTube
and website placement with text overlays and closed caption.
  • Collaborate closely with Social Media Manager to develop compelling storyboards, visual
concepts, storylines and edit for short videos.
  • Manage digital content calendar, identifying needs and update on a weekly basis.
  • Create polished photo, video content that can be utilized in social media, websites and print
marketing materials.
  • Actively aggregate user generated content.
  • Organize, tag and manages the photo and video archive to include UGC, professional and ad
hoc photo and video assets in our cloud storage.
  • Attend special events on property for live social media coverage that may include evenings
and weekends.
  • Ability to edit, color correct video through Adobe Premiere, Adobe After Effects, Adobe
Photoshop, Adobe Bridge, Video compression software, and more.
  • Source and retain freelance labor when necessary.
  • Expertise in operating multiple types of still cameras, video cameras (drone, GoPro) and the
operation studio lighting systems.
  • Responsible for the planning and scheduling of photo and video shoots with operators.
  • Organize and plan posting schedules to ensure all department needs are met.
  • Assist Social Media Manager with community management.
  • Assist with other projects in support of the Marketing Department as needed.
  • Stay up-to-date on current trends in order to maximize community engagement.


The ideal candidate will have:
  • 2+ years of related marketing of professional social media content design experience
  • Exceptional eye for design, style, detail, and color.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and contribute in a team environment.
  • Fresh ideas to push social presence beyond what has previously been done

The target hiring compensation range for this role is the equivalent of $26 - $32 an hour. Compensation is based on several factors including, but not limited to education, relevant work experience, relevant certifications, and location. Additional benefits offered may include; medical health insurance and dental insurance, life insurance, and eligibility to participate in 401k plan with company match.
