Overview

The Social Media Specialist’s role is to execute social media marketing strategies and manage all social media activities for clients and internally for Product Connections.

Responsibilities

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • At the direction of the Director of Digital, execute and contribute to a social media plan as it relates to a larger B2B and B2C strategy
  • Assist with the creation and maintenance of the website and landing pages
  • Manage social media accounts for Product Connections to drive awareness with a focus on building audiences and engagement
  • Define most important social media KPIs
  • Collaborate with digital and creative teams to generate graphics, video, and other assets.
  • Establish strategy while maintaining content calendars
  • Communicate in a professional and unique “voice” for PC and each client; directly aligned with vision and message.
  • Work closely with multimedia and production teams to plan and develop a range of content for social platforms
  • Work in a flexible manner such as at the PC office, studio or other off site locations as needed
  • Pursue original photo and video content specific to different social media channels (Instagram, IG Stories, IGTV, Reels, Tik Tok, Facebook, LinkedIn, Pinterest, etc.)
  • Implement Social Media SEO tactics while aligning with campaign-based keyword and SEO strategies
  • Monitor SEO and user engagement and suggest content optimization
  • Communicate with industry professionals and influencers via social media to create a strong network
Qualifications

Essential Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Strong understanding of B2B and B2C marketing
  • Basic knowledge and experience with Squarespace and WordPress
  • Excellent knowledge of Instagram, LinkedIn, Tik Tok, Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, Later, Canva and other social media platforms
  • Ability to use visual storytelling and social listening to create unique and engaging content
  • Digital savvy professional, open to learning a variety of platforms and applications
  • Basic experience with photo editing and graphic design applications
  • Basic knowledge and experience with managing multimedia files and understanding of file specifications (aspect ratio, resolutions, and file formats)
  • Experience with doing audience and buyer persona research
  • Good understanding of social media KPIs
  • Methodical project management and execution skills
  • Ability and willingness to occasionally work weekends and evenings, as required
  • Excellent multitasking skills
  • Critical thinker and problem-solving skills
  • Team player
  • Good time-management skills
  • Great interpersonal and communication skills


Education and Experience:

  • Minimum 3 years in related employment, work experience in marketing, communications, or related field and managing social media campaigns
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or a related field

While performing the duties of this position, the team member is regularly required to be able to:

  • Sit, stand, talk, hear and use hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard, mouse and/or other peripherals.
