Software Development and Support Manager
Permanent – Full Time

Joining Technopath Clinical Diagnostics (LGC Group) as a Software Development and Support Manager, you will lead the software engineering capability for the Clinical Diagnostics division, ensuring efficient and effective delivery and support of software products are aligned to business and customer requirements. This role drives best practice engineering approaches and works closely with stakeholders in the LGC Clinical Diagnostics business unit to ensure alignment of organisational goals.

This role will support Our 450+ employees operate an ISO 9001-accredited facility in Tipperary (Ireland), Oxford (UK), and FDA-registered and ISO 13485-accredited facilities in Maine, Massachusetts and Maryland, USA.
As Software Development and Support Manager you are responsible for all software delivery and technical support of the software suite in the LGC Clinical Diagnostics business unit, including day-to-day operational aspects as well as long-term planning and strategy.

Interested Candidate will hold
- Degree level education in computer science or related discipline
- Solid experience in a software delivery role (experience delivering commercial SaaS applications is an advantage)
- Strong technical understanding of modern web application development, including modern JavaScript web frameworks and API led architectures
- Experience operating cloud-based applications on a major cloud platform – Azure, AWS etc (Azure experience preferred)
- Understanding of security principles as they relate to web applications and cloud infrastructure.
- Understanding of the Microsoft technology stack, SQL Server and .NET will be an advantage
