We are currently seeking to recruit a Control Systems Engineer who will become part of our product development team, this is a full-time position with an excellent remuneration package. The successful candidate will gain experience in the new product development processes and this role provides an excellent introduction to practical mechanical design for graduates seeking a role in this area.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform research actives for new R&D projects
  • Work with product development team to troubleshoot in field software issues
  • Develop electrical hardware for prototype and pre-production units
  • Assist software engineer with creating and updating software code as required
  • Debug, update and test new software releases
  • Provide production support as required
  • Design and development of electrical control systems and liaise with relevant vendors to help deliver solutions in a timely manner.
  • Repair damaged or faulty controllers returned from customers where possible
  • Assist in prototype and pre-production unit fabrication and assembly
  • Assist in the development of test programs for new projects
  • Assist in design verification and validation activities
  • Develop in-house electrical design and assembly capabilities
  • Create and maintain detailed electrical schematics for all products for production and end user requirements
  • Design and build harnessing for prototype machines
  • Work with purchasing department and vendors to source new components and harnessing solutions
  • Provide training and technical support to production as required

Qualifications / Experience:

• Must have a minimum of a National Diploma Level 8 in electronic engineering or similar
• Ability to code in C programming, Java, python, ST (Structured Text) and SFC (Sequence Flow Chart).
