Technica is seeking an Entry level Software Engineer. This position will be onsite and candidate will report to Technica’s Corporate location in Dulles, VA.
- Participate with a team of developers and data engineers working on research and development projects as well as customer projects
- Apply appropriate standards, processes, procedures, and tools throughout the development life cycle.
- Design, Develop and Deploy:
- Automated analytic software, techniques, and algorithms
- Coordinate and participate in agile software development activities
- Test and debug software solutions
- Data-driven analytics; event-driven analytics
- Offer expertise regarding methods, standards and technical considerations for software applications.
- Develop software solutions by analyzing system performance standards, conferring with users or system engineers; analyzing systems flow, data usage and work processes; and investigating problem areas.
- Diagnose problems, troubleshoot, and develop technical solutions to a range of technical issues.
- Confer with systems analysts, engineers, programmers, and others to design system and to obtain information on project limitations and capabilities, performance requirements and interfaces.
- Utilize software development and software design methodologies appropriate to the development environment.
- Assist with developing documentation and executing test procedures.
- U.S. Citizen, able to obtain TS/SCI clearance
- Must live (or relocate) within 1.5hour driving distance to Dulles VA
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Engineering or Computer Science or similar
- Experience with
- Variety of programming languages and standards such as Java, Web Development (Angular, NodeJS, Javascript).
- Service-Oriented Architectures
- Using Linux as a development operating system
- Integrating multiple open-source libraries and frameworks into working systems
- 0-2 years of relevant information technology and systems administration experience.
- Able to obtain Secret Clearance or higher
- C, C++ Programming, Python, Java
- Messaging and data streaming technologies such as Apache Kafka
- Experience with data mediation and transformation technologies such as Apache NiFi, MuleSoft, and FUSE
