J OB DESCRIPTION:
As a Software Engineer, you are a technical individual contributor for supporting R1's application platform hosted in Microsoft Azure. Engineers build all infrastructure, software, and processes related to the provisioning and maintenance our cloud-based application platform. Platform infrastructure includes Virtual Machines, Azure App Services, Service Fabric, and Document Database clusters . Engineers work closely with development teams to build and maintain automation through Infrastructure as Code solutions for enterprise applications deployed to the cloud.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
High School Diploma or equivalent
3-5 years experience working with full stack data & web platforms
2+ years directly responsible for individual projects
Experience with servers, databases, web servers, application servers, etc.
Experience with “full stack” application deployments: E.g. Integrating the server roles listed above into a single cohesive application stack
2+ years Azure Cloud Experience
Native Azure networking, storage, and IaaS infrastructure deployments
PaaS Web Application deployment and configuration ( e.g. Azure App Services)
Basic understanding of Azure Security and infrastructure hardening
Experience in Enterprise automation design patterns
Implementation & maintenance of cross-platform Infrastructure as Code
Fully automating Infrastructure as Code deployments
Experience with secure design patterns for fully automation solutions
Basic Core Infrastructure Skills
Basic understanding of TCP/IP networking
Understanding of virtual private networks (VPN)
Basic understanding of Linux and/or Windows server configuration
Coding & scripting experience
One or more of the following: C# .NET, PowerShell, Bash, Perl, Python, Terraform, Ansible
Comfortable reading/ modifying /testing existing automation scripts
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Experience with healthcare data
Working with data extracts from Healthcare Information Systems
Experience producing (or consuming) HL7 data, transforms
Customer-facing Role
Servicing requests and communicating directly with clients/customers
Both internal and external roles are acceptable ( e.g. serving “internal” customers such as other departments in you company)
Databricks/Apache Spark
Experience deploying and managing Databricks
Experience deploying and managing Apache Spark
