Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 2 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages, or 1 year of experience with an advanced degree.
  • 2 years of experience with computer vision or computer graphics (or neural rendering) or signal processing in either an academic or industry setting.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or related technical field.
  • 2 years of experience with machine learning algorithms and tools (e.g., TensorFlow), artificial intelligence, deep learning and/or natural language processing.
  • Experience developing digital human related projects, such as neural rendering, face/eyes/hand/body tracking, novel view synthesis, face/human generation/capturing, people segmentation, clothing reconstruction, non-rigid tracking.
  • Experience in image processing and computational photography (denoising, super-resolution, HDR).

In the Google AR Perception team, the goal is to build novel algorithms at the intersection of real-time computer vision, novel sensing and applied machine learning to enable next generation perception capabilities. In the Human Perception team, we build capture systems to digitize humans, apply neural rendering, learn generative models, and leverage this as a way to enable new capabilities in Google products such as: Face Unlock, Portrait Mode (1,2), Portrait Relighting (1,2), Portrait Depth.

With your technical expertise you will manage project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables. You will design, develop, test, deploy, maintain, and enhance software solutions in human perception related topics.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $133,000-$194,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Design and develop pipelines to build end-to-end perception systems. Depending on the specific project, this may involve training and evaluating deep learning models.
  • Optimize algorithms run-time efficiency and integrate in the product platform.
  • Write production-quality C++, Python code and tests.
