Job Title: Software Test Engineer

Job Summary
Centuria is seeking a highly motivated Software Test Engineer that works with minimal supervision/guidance to support the Advanced Weather Interactive Processing System (AWIPS) program in Silver Spring, MD. This is a hybrid-position.

Job Responsibilities:
Assist with investigations into issues reported in production for root cause isolation.
Support the critical system used by the National Weather Service to successfully achieve their mission on a daily basis of protecting lives and property
Execute and track status of tests throughout the lifecycle of a release
Participate in Agile scrum teams which include cross-functional members of the team.
Collaborate with our NWS partners on system functionality as it pertains to requirements of the system.
Maintain the test suite, both automated and manual test cases.
Interface with the whole SDLC team and ensure the quality of the release delivered to the customer.

Job Requirements:
Bachelor of Science, BS in a Math, Science or Engineering related field
Must have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher. (Please include your GPA on your resume.)
Background in weather or weather-based systems
Experience and knowledge with software testing, the ability to think critically and a proven track record of responsible task ownership and reliable execution.
US Citizenship with the ability to obtain a Public Trust - candidate must be able to pass a National Agency Check (NAC).
