About The Opportunity

Works to become a subject matter expert in one or more areas of software engineering.

May have a specific focus in one or more of the following: designs, deploys, and supports best in class software, development processes and software development tools; develops tasks including module design and coding, debugging, and documentation of application programs and systems level programming; conducts systems programming and systems support activities; develops coding and design tasks to ensure software meets specified performance, scalability and reliability requirements; defines model interfaces/formats for performance simulation; defines the module specific requirements for software development projects; designs, analyzes, plans, and modifies network components supporting communication implementation activities; provides support to customer and account teams to understand customer requirements and responds to customer problems. Works on multiple projects simultaneously. Domain and technical leadership in at least one project area. Demonstrates deep understanding of the domainÂ’s impact on one or more projects. Develops technical solutions to complex problems that require regular use of creativity.

• Establish and communicate the delivery Increments up to the release of the Solution
• Facilitate Solution Planning process which drives the roadmap, and backlogs, and through Solution release Lifecyle and planning meetings
• Summarize the program delivery objectives and track the execution of features and capabilities across the Engineering Workstreams
• Facilitate regular sync meetings to assist in the planning, estimation, alignment, and decision making in relation to solution features and capabilities
• Work with leaders, teams, and Scrum Masters delivery alignment, practices, and a common approach
• Help manage risks and dependencies
• Escalate and track impediments
• Provide input on resourcing to address critical bottlenecks
• Encourage collaboration between Value Stream teams, Architects, Engineering leaders and Business Primes
• Work with Product and Solution Management, Product Owners, and other stakeholders to help ensure strategy and execution alignment
• Improve the delivery of value through workstreams by improving and assessing the practices associated with DevOps and Release on Demand in the Continuous Delivery Pipeline
• Foster Best Practice knowledge sharing
• Drive improvement in the areas of efficiency and execution with relevant teams, products, components, functions.

About The Requirements

EXPERIENCE

• Leading agile development teams or overseeing agile release plan delivery
• Demonstrable experience in building, managing and transforming large and international program and project practices in support cloud-native SaaS and PaaS offers
• Demonstrable experience in executive interlocks and detailed regular communications on critical programs, including the establishment of a regular cadence to discuss and report on high and medium risk issues and remediation efforts
• Experience in leading cross-functional teams (project management, engineering, operations, and/or support) through the iterative process of designing, planning, delivering, and supporting capabilities (projects)

SKILLS & COMPETENCIES

• Expertise in Project and Program Management methodologies
• Direct or indirect management of cross-functional teams
• Strong teamwork with key functional stakeholders in Products, Engineering and Operations
• Exceptional people management skills – performance management, personal development, etc.
• Cloud solution development and Continuous Integration / Continuous Delivery (CICD) practices

• BS required; MS preferred
• 8+ Years of Experience
• PMP certification preferred.
