Sous/Lead Line Cook

Churchill's Bistro Cigar Bar in Birmingham is a restaurant/cigar bar environment with an upscale bistro menu for lunch and dinner. This is a fast-paced, full-service environment where customer service is a priority. We are seeking a full-time experienced Sous Chef/Lead Line Cook capable of working in a fine dining environment.

The candidate should be someone reliable and dependable. We are seeking an experienced individual looking for a long-term position.

Duties include but are not limited to:

*Supporting the Executive Chef in leading a team of culinary professionals that deliver high-quality, great-tasting food

*Ensuring proper food safety and sanitation procedures

*Building top-line sales and guest count through the delivery of a competitively superior team member and guest experience.

*Assist the Executive Chef to ensure menu items are executed excellently in the restaurant.

*Supports managing quality in all aspects of their job.

Job Requirements

● Proven success as a Lead Line Cook, Executive Sous Chef or Kitchen Manager in a high-volumeupscale restaurant or high-end resort restaurant

● Strong passion for culinary excellence, wine knowledge, and service

● Proven ability to develop team

● Knowledge of systems, methods, and processes that contribute to excellent execution

● Stable job history which demonstrates upward career progression
