Position: Special Education Teacher (9-12+)

Monument Mountain Regional High School

Requirements: BA/BS or equivalent; MA Teaching Certification preferred with college degree in the general area of assignment.

Qualifications: Demonstrated expertise and experience working with students on the autism spectrum, students with developmental and cognitive disabilities in grades 9 – 12 as well as transition years (18-22). Demonstrated ability to modify curriculum and lessons to develop skills and independence, and to facilitate direct academic and functional academic instruction. Demonstrated experience in transition planning, transition assessments and transition instruction with individual students and small groups. Demonstrated use of data driven systems to monitor student progress is an essential skill. Demonstrated ability to write, implement and provide all case management of IEPs, including completing 3 year re-evaluations and progress monitoring. Strong collaboration skills and expertise building and leading a team in student support. Other qualifications as established by the District.

Work Schedule/Starting Date: To Begin August 2023

Salary: As per BHEA Unit A Contract
