The Aftermarket Repair organization (PSD) located in Springdale, AR is looking for a Special Processes Operator – Plasma for 2nd shift operations (M-F, 3PM to 11:30PM). Training may occur on 1st shift. 1st shift schedule is M-F, 6:30AM to 3PM. This site employs 158 total.

Shift earns 8% shift premium after training period.

Overtime opportunity may be available after a period of training.

Key Responsibilities:

• Read blueprints, drawings, manuals, specifications to determine requirements.
• Prepare parts for plasma coating.
• Set up and operate grit blaster.
• Set up and operate plasma equipment.
• Plasma coat to specifications outlined in work instructions.
• Inspect parts to verify conformance with specifications.
• Complete required paperwork.
• Maintain clean work environment

Basic Qualifications:

• Technical aptitude and desire to learn new skills is essential to this role.
• Ability to read and interpret work instructions.
• High school diploma or GED
• US Citizenship due to government contracts

Preferred Qualifications:

• Prior experience within the aerospace industry.
• Prior experience with specialized coating application.
• CNC equipment operation.

Pratt & Whitney in Springdale, AR is a FAA regulated facility and as such under the U.S. Departments of Transportation’s Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). This position is considered safety sensitive in accordance with FAA Guidelines. Candidate will be subject to drug and alcohol testing per FAA’s regulation 14 CFR part 120, as well as 49 CFR part 40.

Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance workers, as they are essential to the development of our engines.

Candidates will learn more about role type and current site status throughout the recruiting process. For onsite and hybrid roles, commuting to and from the assigned site is the employee’s personal responsibility.
