Catholic Charities, Diocese of Metuchen is a non-profit, faith-based social services agency dedicated to helping those individuals in need and improving the quality of life to members in the community.

Specialist - LifeSet

Salary: $50,000 per year

Responsibilities

• Providing services to address the needs of young people ages 17-21 who are transitioning out of resource home/foster care, or are already living independently, and need individualized skill development and support to transition successfully into adulthood
• Skill development may include obtaining and maintaining safe and suitable housing, continuing their education, learning independent living skills, obtaining and maintaining employment, building a support system, and remaining free from legal involvement
• Specialists primarily work in the field and will have access to an agency vehicle, cell phone, and laptop
• Specialists will be provided with training in an evidenced based model utilizing cognitive behavioral therapy and motivational interviewing, and are expected to adhere to this model throughout the intervention
• Clinical Supervision for licensure is available

Requirements

• Flexible schedule
• Work independently and in a team
• Organizational skills
• Knowledge of the community and ability to advocate for client youth needs
• Bachelor’s degree in a social service related field, plus one year of experience
• Master’s degree preferred
• Driver’s license with a clean driving record is required
• Bilingual preferred
