Job Description

Job Title: Speech Therapist

Job Summary:

The Speech Therapist will be responsible for providing diagnostic and therapeutic services to adults and children with speech, language, and communication disorders. They will work closely with patients to assess their speech-language abilities and formulate individualized treatment plans to help them improve their communication skills.

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Evaluate patients' speech-language abilities and administer appropriate diagnostic tests
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patients' needs and goals
• Provide therapy to patients with various communication disorders, including articulation, fluency, voice, language, and cognition
• Teach patients strategies to improve their communication skills and monitor their progress
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including physicians, psychologists, educators, and social workers, to provide comprehensive care to patients
• Maintain accurate records of patients' progress and communicate findings to other healthcare professionals as necessary

Qualifications and Skills:

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology
• Certification from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA)
• Current license to practice Speech Therapy in the state of New York
• Experience working with adults and children with communication disorders
• Knowledge of diagnostic and therapeutic techniques for various speech-language disorders
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
