Job Description & Summary

The Role

We are looking for an ambitious and motivated Sponsorship Associate to join our Events and Sponsorship Team – part of the wider Clients & Markets (C&M) team in PwC. The role will involve developing and activating our Tier 1 Sponsorship Campaigns. The C&M team provides a range of marketing consultancy related services to partners and managers across the firm. PwC Ireland has almost 20 business unit areas and works with clients across a range of service areas.

As an associate on the Events and Sponsorship team, your responsibilities will include:

  • Working with the team to create, develop and deliver a best-in-class activations campaign for all our Sponsorship campaigns

  • Supporting the development of all firmwide sponsorship activation plans, coordinating campaign activities using the full range of marketing channels, ensuring they’re managed through a consistent and tightly budgeted process

  • Managing the PwC Community Fund programme

  • Working with both internal and external design agencies

  • Liaising with key internal stakeholders to ensure all sponsorships are effectively and efficiently working for the firm

  • Forging strong relationships with rights holders to develop and implement joint sponsorship and marketing plans

  • Demonstrating innovation and creativity in all sponsorship activity

  • Campaign management to include planning, activation, and evaluation on all marketing initiatives

  • Keeping up to date with best-in-class industry and external sponsorship offerings including the latest technology and other leading-edge sponsorship experiential practices

  • Measuring effectiveness of our sponsorships and creating reports to showcase our plans and results

  • Budget management of all our sponsorship portfolio

Requirements

Education / professional qualifications:

  • Third level qualification in a business discipline would be preferable

Experience Required:

  • 2-3 years of sponsorship experience either within an agency or large in-house team.

  • Previous experience in a sponsorship role.

  • Experience working in financial or professional services or in a similar B2B environment.

  • Experience using sponsorship measurement tools or analysing data would also be an advantage.

  • Experience working on a marketing team dealing with branding, logo and design requests would also be an advantage.

  • High degree of enthusiasm and adaptability to work in a busy and innovative team.

  • Experience in sponsorship management, activation and evaluation of sponsorship.

  • Good team player, with a willingness to learn and share knowledge.

  • Very strong project management skills. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritise as appropriate and identify/resolve possible problems before they arise.

  • Extensive Google Suite, Gmail, Sheets, Docs, Slides, experience in report preparation.

  • Displays initiative, proactivity and energy to achieve results. Capable of working to tight deadlines.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Strong attention to detail with a high degree of accuracy and excellent organizational skills.

  • Excellent communication skills and an ability to work with and empathize with colleagues and customers from varied backgrounds and cultures.

  • Self-motivated and detail oriented with strong administrative discipline and an ability to set and manage priorities.

  • Financially astute and bottom line driven, with a good aptitude for numbers.

  • Must be proactive and results orientated, with a flexible approach to work and be capable of handling multiple priorities in an evolving environment.
