TRC's client is an established biopharma and engineering consulting firm looking for an Sr Automation Engineering Project Manager to join their team in the Thousand Oaks, CA area on a full-time, direct hire basis.

Job Description:
We are seeking a senior-level Automation Engineer and Project Manager experienced in instrumentation, control systems, data historians, industrial networks, VMs, VPNs, and a focus on Rockwell products (AB ControlLogix, CompactLogix, RSLogix, Studio 5000, and FactoryTalk SE/ME). As a Senior Automation Engineering Project Manager, you will be responsible for managing small-large automation and IS projects, design, configuration, integration, commissioning, and troubleshooting of the plant control systems.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, or related field; preference shown to electrical engineering degrees
• 6+ years of direct experience with AB PLC’s (ControlLogix, CompactLogix, RSLogix, Studio 5000, and FactoryTalk SE/ME) including system architecture and programming
• Prior project management experience in the biotechnology and/or pharmaceutical industries
• Understanding of Project Lifecycle from conceptual design phase through startup, commissioning, and qualification
• Hands-on experience with instrumentation, process equipment, and control panels
• Ability to read and understand P&ID’s, Electrical schematics, and M/P diagrams
• Knowledge of Industrial Networks, VMs, VPNs
• Exceptional troubleshooting skills with excellent organizational and communication/people skills

Bonus Skillsets:

• Understanding of electrical design fundamentals and Power Distribution Systems
• Ability to reverse engineer existing controls systems in migration projects
• PMP certification
