About this opportunity
We are hiring an investigator to join Ericsson’s Corporate and Government Investigations group (CGI), supporting the team that handles investigations in North and South America. CGI is responsible for investigating suspected breaches of Ericsson’s Code of Business Ethics and is critical to ensuring the effectiveness of the Company’s ethics and compliance program, defending the Company’s commitment to integrity, and building trust with its stakeholders, including government enforcement authorities.
What you will do
- Conduct internal investigations on a variety of topics, including allegations of fraud, corruption and regulatory breaches, as well as potential violations of Ericsson’s Code of Business Ethics
- Develop scope and investigation strategy
- Conduct investigations in a forensically sound, robust, fair and timely matter, in compliance with laws including data privacy laws
- Collect and review evidence, and conduct financial and other forensic reviews
- Conduct witness interviews
- Draft clear, well-written reports summarizing investigation findings
- Present investigation findings to stakeholders in the company including remediation committees
- Assist in government-facing investigations, including preserving and collecting relevant data, producing data to authorities, and tracking materials provided
- Assist in reporting about investigations to Ericsson’s independent compliance monitor and the U.S. authorities
- Assist in the development of investigations processes and policies, and coordinate with key functions such as the Compliance Office, Internal Audit, Security, the People Function, and Ericsson business units
- Lead multiple matters at once in a fast-paced environment with high standards
- Act with integrity, objectivity and fairness
You will bring
- 8+ years’ experience in investigations or related areas
- Bachelor’s Degree in Law, Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or other relevant degrees
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Demonstrated ability to handle and manage complex projects as well as lead multiple projects at one time
- Demonstrated ability to think strategically with regard to scoping, handling and managing matters
- Proficiency in English
You might also have:
- Experience working for a government agency
- Experience working with a company under a compliance monitorship
- Experience at a multi-national company or working with multi-national clients
- Data analytics experience
- Other language skills, particularly Spanish or Portuguese
- Experience working on sophisticated financial investigations, such as anti-corruption, anti-money laundering, and accounting fraud
Your Pay
The salary range for this position is listed below. The actual salary offered is dependent on various factors including, but not limited to, location, the candidate’s combination of job-related knowledge, qualifications, skills, education, training, and experience.
Washington DC, New York, New Jersey, Washington State: $142,600 – $213,800
California: $132,000 – $213,800
All other US locations: $132,000 – $198,000
Your pay also includes the opportunity for an annual bonus. Actual bonus payouts are based on performance of the business against the unit’s objectives, individual performance, and the individual bonus target. Certain eligibility and pro-ration rules apply.

Your Financial Security
We invest in both your short and long-term financial wellbeing. Ericsson’s 401(k) plan offers an automatic 3%company contribution and up to a 4% company match, leading to a maximum company contribution of 7% annually. Employees will also receive company paid basic life and accidental death and dismemberment coverage and paid company short-term and long-term disability benefits. Employees also have the option to participate in Ericsson’s Stock Purchase Plan.
Your Time
Your work-life balance is important to us. New employees are provided up to 40 days of paid time off per year, including 15 days of accrued annual vacation, 3 personal days, 11 paid holidays, 10 sick days, and 1volunteer day. Please note paid time off is pro-rated based on the employee’s start date. Those with additional vacation time at the end of the year may sell one week of vacation, equal to a week of pay. Furthermore, Ericsson provides up to 16 weeks of maternity/medical leave, 6 weeks of paternity or adoption leave at 100% of pay, and medical leave at 100% or 66 2/3% of pay, based on length of service.
