The Sr. Director, Strategic Portfolio Management will lead the portfolio and program management and strategic initiatives within the BioProduction Group. The role will report to the Senior Vice President and President of the Group and actively engage as a senior member of the group leadership team, ensuring input and execution of strategic priorities.

BPG is comprised of businesses that partner with our customers across the BioProduction workflow: Cell Culture/Cell Therapy, Single Use Technologies, Purification/Pharma Analytics, and Production Chemicals. Responsibilities:

• Prioritization of portfolio, target achievement and cross business alignment to ensure execution of business strategies to achieve growth
• Drive development and progress of portfolio/program strategy, goals and metrics
• Lead and run long-term projects that require coordination and oversight of resources pre and post capital investment approval
• Ensure projects meet critical achievements on time and on budget with timely communication between teams and senior management
• Ensure standard work and performance on established critical metrics
• Lead and communicate operational performance by adopting our culture of continuous improvement through our Practical Process Improvement (PPI) Business System
• Ensure standard methodologies of Program Management are followed with the goal of delivering products of high quality and value to the organization within the agreed-upon metrics of schedule, resources, budget and scope
• Support STRAP process and connection to AOP initiatives through cross-functional collaboration
• Partner with leaders to develop and manage execution of a multi-generation portfolio roadmap and annual plan for bioproduction products, focusing on R&D utilization to increase impact.

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in life science or engineering with PMP certification
• 10+ years experience in successful strategy deployment using PPI, project management, Lean/Six Sigma and other methodologies
• 5+ years in program management organization leadership and staff management experience
• Broad knowledge of standard processes in program management and operations
• Proven record of meeting objectives and driving operational excellence and continuous improvement
• Ability to collaborate and work across a heavily matrixed environment with strong communication
• Comfortable working in ambiguity with attention to detail
• Strong executive presence and presentation skills
• Ability to influence, encourage and lead change
• Strong talent development skills and an appreciation of the importance of diversity in building a strong team
• Travel: 20-30% (primarily domestic/US travel)

The salary range estimated for this position is $179,000 - $242,150. This position will also be eligible to receive a variable annual bonus based on company, team, and/or individual performance results in accordance with company policy. Actual compensation will be confirmed in writing at the time of offer.
