Purpose Statement

The Clinical Field Trainer is responsible and accountable for providing product and related procedural training to health care providers (HCPs) focusing on SpaceOAR Hydrogel, other BSC products and procedures. Travels routinely (50-75%) to assess training needs and evaluate training effectiveness. Support HCPs with launch of new and complex product lines. This role will be responsible for all aspects of HCP training, including required pre procedure training, the SpaceOAR certification process and check-in training. SpaceOAR Certification is REQUIRED for this role. This position will also be responsible for providing input and feedback for the development & maintenance of HCP training materials. A portion of responsibility of this position involves supporting sales training at the home office and in the field.


Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and conduct training sessions with HCPs emphasizing assigned products and related procedures. Some onsite/office-based training as well as field-based training involves classroom style teaching methods, lab demonstrations, conduct assessments, and reporting on training performance. This will also include the certification of BSC personnel and distributers internationally.
  • Work with sales management (DOS, Regional Managers, Marketing) to determine clinical HCP training needs within an assigned region. Proactively plan, design, and implement focused training courses for HCPs within that region that address training needs. In conjunction with sales management, ensure proper training compliance and certification.
  • Responsible for maintaining and reporting training metrics through assigned systems
  • Physician Education: Will be responsible for playing a role that includes input and coordination for the development of a physician education program.
