Sr. Manager Supply Chain – Warehouse and Dispensary
ADL Level 6

Overview:
This position will report to the Director of Supply Chain and sit on the Supply Chain Management team. The ideal candidate will provide strong management and leadership in the Internal and External Warehouse operations within the ADL Supply Chain function. This role is a key supporting role to the Warehouse and Manufacturing operations on site and a strategic partner with the Network for Warehousing capacity and system solutions. Previous experience with Aseptic Manufacturing and/or Warehousing is a distinct advantage. The priority competencies for this individual are strong people management, strategic thinking, a high focus on systems and compliance and an ability to maintain communication and strong relationships with internal and external customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Leads the Warehousing support function responsible for capacity, Warehouse systems, Warehouse planning and audit preparations.
- Develops and builds the Warehouse support organisation and handoff to Warehouse Operations team and global network teams.
- Owns the site’s Warehouse Capacity management and solutions. Partners with the global Warehousing Network and Supply Chain Operational Strategic Planning group to deliver the best solutions for the site.
- Provides oversight of the site’s external warehousing partners and ensures that the partners deliver for the site. Partners with Global Strategic Sourcing and Quality to ensure that the most compliant and cost-effective solutions are available for the site.
- Manages the planning and scheduling activities for the Warehouse operations group, such as Dispensary and Inbound.
- Leads the team that have responsibility for execution of medium to large scale warehouse projects such as ERP enhancements and upgrades.
- Responsible for the Warehouse Business continuity plans and the risk mitigation ramp plans for the area.
- Audit program owner for quality and financial compliance audits.
- Oversees the Electronic and Equipment System SMEs for Warehousing (Maximo, Alarm Management program, SAP, Rapid Response and Warehouse Master Data).
- Ownership of Warehousing supporting processes such as scrap and cycle counts
- Oversees the development, revision, review, and approval of all Standard Operating Procedures that are owned by the Warehouse and Dispensary.
- Leads and support multiple priorities in order to comply with the sites supply demands.
- Ensures effective two-way communication within the plant, with peers and groups internally and externally.
- Ensures that the required initial and continuing training of departmental personnel is carried out and adapted according to needs of the business and regulations, which may involve developing training material.
- Expands capabilities by working closely with senior staff/experts within and outside the internal organisation.
- Develops and maintains the Business continuity plans for the area.
General responsibilities
- Applies analytical skills to evaluate and interpret complex situations/problems using multiple sources of information.
- Applies the principles of Continuous Improvement / Operational Excellence to drive improvements in compliance, safety and cost.
- Supports the area in the project approval, prioritization, and implementation process.
- Develop metrics to support the benchmarking of site, global, and industry.
- Develops and manages departmental metrics to drive performance.
- Responsible for attaining and improving site based metrics targets.
- Creates, establishes and maintains an environment that encourages a strong culture of teamwork, accountability and commitment on site.
- Develops and maintains an effective organisation through selection, teaching, leadership and development management.
- Develop, maintain, and justify the departments’ budgets based on current and future business drivers.
Basic Qualifications:
- Typically 10+ years of experience in industrial environment. With typically 5+ years experience supervising staff.
- Bachelor’s Degree or combination of education and/or years of experience.
- Ideally previous experience working within the Pharmaceutical, and/or manufacturing industries would be highly desirable.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge of warehousing, aseptic processing
- Systems knowledge SAP / PAS-X.
- Knowledge of conflict resolution.
- Analytical problem solving.
- Considerable Organization skills.
- Experience in coaching and mentoring.
- Ability to deal with and manage change.
- Ability to set goals for teams.
- Knowledge of applicable regulatory guidelines
