Summary
The Marketing Director will lead global marketing and e-commerce efforts and serve as the brand steward for the Baden brand. The role is responsible for managing and strengthening the brands’ market position to achieve the desired growth and business goals.
Essential Functions
- Develop Strategic Marketing Plans to achieve the business goals and growth objectives for each product category.
- Drive brand awareness, engagement and growth through consumer and trade facing marketing programs.
- Team Leadership: Lead team in the execution of public relations, digital marketing, email marketing, advertising and product go-to-market initiatives.
- Manage brand and product positioning.
- Conduct market and consumer research and analysis to drive consumer, market and trends insights.
- Work with International Distributors to achieve worldwide brand consistency and growth.
- e-Commerce: Dive brand and sales growth through oversight of all e-Commerce initiatives for both direct and 3rd party sales.
- Market Research - As needed, conduct market research to support strategy development and execution of plans, including: segmentation, targeting, and positioning.
- Product Development – Collaborate with product development teams create Go-To-Market strategies for product launches, including assisting in developing product positioning, packaging, naming and launch assets.
- Sales - Collaborate with sales to support all Value Streams including the creation of annual catalogs, sales meeting, tradeshows, and other sales collateral and assets to maximize sell-in.
- 10+ years of progressive responsibility in consumer product marketing, 2+ years at a director/VP level. Working with multiple brands preferred.
- Sports industry experience, including in-depth knowledge of sporting goods retail landscape
- Demonstrated results in driving brand growth globally.
- Previous experience leading marketing teams, crafting marketing strategy, producing marketing plans and budget creation and management.
- Demonstrated success working with a variety of marketing communication methods such as PR, advertising, packaging, email, web, video, social media.
- Demonstrated experience managing e-commerce sites, for both direct and third party platforms.
- Effective in cross-functional team environment.
- Excellent oral and written communications skills.

- BA/BS or equivalent experience

Working Conditions:
- Casual office environment.
- Flexible hours, with supervisor’s approval.
- Must be able to travel 10% of the year: domestic and international travel, and travel to key accounts, sales/marketing events and key suppliers and contractors required.
- Adherence to company attendance standards is expected.
