WHAT YOU WILL BE ACCOUNTABLE FOR
Business
Lead Procurement Continuous Improvement processes in RAI, including running focus groups, trainings and being the key role championing and leading procurement process deployment in the business.- Lead the deployment in RAI of new Procurement processes and WOW in alignment with Global Procurement
- Responsible for building training materials and delivering ongoing training to the Procurement team as well as to the Business functions with regards to Procurement policy and processes
- Responsible for supporting Strategy and Planning Director in the definition of Procurement OSD Plans
- Support Strategy and Planning Director to manage the delivery of the Procurement roadmap and support progress tracking and visibility
Leadership
To act as subject matter expert for Procurement in relation to Process, Technology and Data/Insights.- To promote continuous improvement through owning the processes and driving a data quality mindset.
- Represent the Procurement function and the Strategy & Planning team within various forums and to drive necessary cross functional alignment, support and engagement.
- To own deployment of the Procurement roadmap and drive the action owners accordingly.
Management
Manage and collate Procurement’s overall tracking and reporting, progress and inputs for the follow up and definition of RAI’s Procurement Strategy and annual sourcing plans.- Engage Procurement team to ensure traction and influence activity accordingly and engagement to Global Operating Model, new ways of working while providing leadership and direction to Procurement personnel related to compliance activities.
- Own the Procurement processes and its governance aligned with BAT’s and local control processes while ensuring these remain suitable, are appropriately acknowledged and understood by all in the procurement department as well as any relevant cross-functional area.
- Manage the Implementation in RAI’s companies of the changes in processes and ways of working in alignment with Global Procurement Strategy
- Drive the Continuous Improvement (CI) process across the Procurement team (local and Global) and all business areas in RAI, by getting all relevant inputs/feedback defining action plans, prioritising the implementation, and tracking of actions to ensure the delivery of new processes implementation.
- Responsible for driving, from Procurement side, the implementation and utilization of all Procurement data and systems including strategic sourcing system, contract management system, spend analytics applications, supplier information system, Procurement SharePoint, and Procurement’s utilization of system applications such as SAP, Coupa, Content Enablement, iCertis, etc.
- Conduct business process analysis and documentation, through internal and external benchmarking, to develop and implement improvement in processes and systems, as well to evaluate of tools and applications to enhance the overall effectiveness of the Procurement team.
- Develop and implement metrics (KPI’s) designed to measure organizational and supply base performance, as well as the developments of effective tracking and reporting against these metrics.
- Consolidate and provide tracking/reporting on the Procurement Strategy roadmap progress while making updates/recommendations to the Procurement Leadership Team (PLT).
- Drive the reporting processes and oversee the data and analytic touchpoints to ensure that RAI Procurement team has the required visibility, as well as to ensure that such insights are being made readily available to them.
- Support the implementation of Procurement’s ESG initiatives as well as progress with the overall Procurement ESG Procurement glidepath.
- Manage and own the Supplier Onboarding overall process; act as the main point of contact within the cross-functional teams that own the sub-process embedded in the overarching process such as: Coupa Risk Assessment (CRA), DBS Cybersecurity, Fieldglass Onboarding, Fieldglass, Contingent Labour, Finance-VMMR/MDG, SRM Training, Avetta Screening, FDA Relevant, Denied Parties & Sanctions Screenings of Foreign Parties, Supplier Code of Conduct and others.
- Define Performance Objectives for his/her direct report, in alignment with Procurement Director of Strategy and Planning, as well with Procurement function objectives, while providing ongoing follow up and feedback.
Relationships
Maintain relationships with Global Procurement team for overall alignment, CI process delivery within others.- Maintain relationships and serve as liaison with internal and external cross-functional teams such LEX, Operations, Finance, DBS, GBS, Communication/Hub/SharePoint Admin, as well as with Business Users and functional partners for overall communication, process and compliance alignment.
Innovation
- Be at the outlook for continuous improvement opportunities in processes, reporting and data quality, undertaking a periodic review of how Procurement functions are performing, making recommendations on next steps, creating interactive ways for procurement personnel and onboarding trainings, as well as potential development to Procurement Leadership Team (PLT).

ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE, SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE
Experienced Procurement practitioner and Supplier Management subject matter expert gained through a minimum of 7-10 years of operational experience.- In depth understanding of procurement best practice with particular focus on its governance, planning and digital tools.
- SAP & Coupa system knowledge, ability to analyse the data and turn it into action.
- 10+ years of experience.
- Bachelor’s in science Degree in Business administration, Supply Chain, Finance and/or Engineering fields. Preferred Post Graduate Degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or related field.
- Previous Experience in Procurement or in Requisition to Pay Process
- Project management and personnel management
- Working knowledge of finance and/or accounting in terms of budgeting, cost, management, financial accounting, treasury, risk management and/or business cases evaluation, etc.
- Familiarity with relevant legislative, regulatory requirements and ESG, as well as understanding of standard contractual terms and conditions to mitigate legal risk.
