Sr. Process Manager (Senior Associate) - Anti-Money Laundering (AML) Content Developer

The Anti-Money Laundering University (AMLU) training team is seeking a collaborative, organized, creative individual to join our team. This role will be responsible for the design and development of a diverse set of learning materials to support Capital One’s Anti-Money Laundering (AML) Program. This individual will partner closely with key business partners to translate business intent into engaging learning materials. This individual will analyze learning needs, design and develop blended learning solutions. This individual will work closely to develop and update content, develop E-Learning courses and training, create job aids and reference materials, and much more.

A successful candidate will be able to work in a strong team focused environment to deploy Anti-Money Laundering/Fraud and Compliance training through a Learning Management System (LMS) and other modalities to associates across the Capital One Enterprise. The role is best suited to an individual passionate about continuous learning and able to apply learning in an ever-changing environment. Strong communication and facilitation skills and the ability to adapt to an ever-changing agile environment are essential to succeeding in this role.


General Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain learning materials and performance support tools (including self-study, eLearning, instructor led training materials, etc.) based on industry design standards for a given modality (includes traditional, web-based, and mobile design)

  • Design content, including (but not limited to) measurable learning objectives, leaders and participant materials and tools, experiential scenarios, case studies, simulations, assessment and evaluation questions

  • Demonstrate an aptitude for, knowledge of, and agility with new learning technologies in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment

  • Participate in needs analysis to determine the right learning solution for a variety of projects

  • Provide training solutions that demonstrate an understanding of adult learning principles and leverage current learning trends, including multimedia (example: video) to enhance the learner experience

  • Participate in and/or facilitate project kick off meetings, check-ins with team members and/or stakeholders at various levels in the organization

  • Participate in stakeholder, subject matter expert, and learner interviews that enable identification and curation of relevant content for the end-learner

  • Recommend and document project instructional standards and strategies, learner engagement strategies, and evaluation plans

  • Engage with project team members by conducting on-going reviews to ensure outcome is on track to meet client needs

  • Partner with other content developers to support material development as needed

  • Create behavior-based case studies, assessments, and evaluation methods

  • Assist leadership by identifying issues, diagnosing problems, generating alternative solutions, and analyzing opportunities

  • Assume personal responsibility for projects and follow-through to completion with minimal need for direct supervision

  • Demonstrate ability to manage multiple e-learning projects at one time

  • Demonstrate proficient use of multiple rapid development content tools to create online e-Learning experiences

  • Demonstrate ability to create buy in for training modalities and hold self, team and/or stakeholders accountable to project timelines or communicate risks for delivery

  • Comfortable working in a team environment, as well as being an independent contributor


Basic Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma, GED or equivalent certification

  • At least 2 years of experience in instructional design methodology and content development

  • At least 2 years of experience using Authoring applications (such as Captivate or Articulate 360 software) to design and develop eLearning trainings

  • At least 2 years experience using Google Suite

  • At least 1 year experience with video and audio editing


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree

  • At least 3 years experience in instructional design methodology (i.e. ADDIE/SAM/AGILE) and content development

  • At least 3 years experience using Authoring applications (such as Captivate or Articulate 360 software) to design and develop eLearning trainings

  • At least 3 years of experience with video and audio editing

  • Experience integrating HTML, CSS, and/or JavaScript in Authoring applications

  • Exceptional professional communication and technical writing skills

  • Experience with project management and managing multiple, simultaneous tasks

  • Ability to learn and master new software applications quickly and thoroughly

  • Experience with facilitating trainings in a virtual setting

  • At least 1 year of Anti-Money Laundering (AML) experience

The minimum and maximum full-time annual salaries for this role are listed below, by location. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the amount Capital One is willing to pay at the time of this posting. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked.

Location is New York City: $87,300 - $99,600 for Sr. Process Manager

Candidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location, and the actual annualized salary amount offered to any candidate at the time of hire will be reflected solely in the candidate’s offer letter.

This role is also eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long term incentives (LTI). Incentives could be discretionary or non discretionary depending on the plan.
