About the role: As a Senior Project Manager/Scrum Master at Forcepoint, you will be responsible for leading project activities for product implementation, working closely with stakeholders across the organization to deliver timely and high-quality software products that align with business goals. The candidate will support the company’s strategy to develop an improved project management process and implement the tactics associated with that philosophy and vision. The candidate will also serve as a primary liaison between the product team and engineering and be experienced in managing all aspects of project planning, execution, funding, and customer satisfaction.
The project manager/scrum master will be expected to develop schedules, run all scrum ceremonies, identify and mitigate risks, collaborate with key stakeholders, and execute multiple projects in accordance with the terms and conditions of that project.

How will you work? This role is 100% remote
What will you be doing?
- Provide routine status and project reports to project stakeholders including product management, senior management, engineering and co-workers as required.
- Assess the agile maturity of the teams and organization and coach the team to higher levels of maturity, at a pace that is sustainable and comfortable for the team and organization .
- Implement processes and structures to improve and support agile/scrum methodology.
- Responsible for the development, implementation, and tracking of project plans and schedules.
- Work in collaboration with other scrum masters and project managers to organize and lead product integration projects
- Support cross-team initiatives to improve and standardize sprint reporting and release forecasting.
- Run projects in a variety of methodologies including Kanban, scrum, or waterfall.
- Manage all aspects of the software development lifecycle using JIRA and Confluence.
- Remain current in Project Management and agile best practices, and IT technology.
- Manage Jira projects including making optimizations to workflows and other changes as needed.
- Create and develop Jira dashboards for project reporting and visibility.
What experience(s), knowledge, and education we are looking for:
- This position will require access to information that is subject to the U.S International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and Export Administration Regulations (EAR). The applicant must have the ability to obtain the appropriate work authorizations that may be required under U.S. ITAR or EAR regulations from the applicable U.S government agency.
- Minimum of four years of experience in project management or as a scrum master, one year of which must be in software development environment.
- Project Management experience must include using planning, scheduling, reporting and documenting tools including Atlassian software.
- Must possess strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong knowledge of software development lifecycle methodologies.
- Must be capable of leading and successfully working with individuals from different disciplines and experience levels.
Qualified applicants may be subject to a security investigation and must meet minimum qualifications for access to classified information.
Desired Skills:
- Experience working on government contracts preferred.
- Experience leading software projects using Agile and Scrum methodologies.
- Experience leading and implementing continuous process improvements.
- PMP and CSM certification is desired.
- Strong command of Atlassian tools including Jira and Confluence
- Ability to lead teams in planning of large-scale releases for complex products
