WHAT YOU WILL BE ACCOUNTABLE FOR
- Develop traditional oral tobacco products (loose and pouch).
- Assess products using internal sensory, descriptive sensory, and internal acceptance evaluation methods.
- Collaborate across Reynolds American functional groups throughout the development process to ensure development is completed within agreed upon timeframes.
- Collaborate with Operations and Quality to run factory trials of new prototypes and to qualify new materials.
- Support regulatory submissions to the FDA.
- Provide product development support and scientific insight to the research teams.
- Assess and document research outcomes and present technical recommendations up within the business.

ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE, SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE
- Bachelor of Science degree in biological or physical sciences.
- 5 or more years of product development work experience.
- Strong computer skills, with proficiency in MS Office software including Excel, Word, Power Point and Outlook.
- Working knowledge of processes and requirements for new product commercialization.
BENEFICIAL
- Willingness to conduct sensory evaluations of new and commercial smokeless tobacco products.
- An understanding of microbiology and fermentation.
- Experience working in a FDA or government regulated business

- Company vehicle for eligible employees
