Sr. Software Architect

Royal Oak/Hybrid (2 onsite; 3 remote)

As a Senior IT Technologist, Software Architecture will be responsible for being an architectural voice: leading design direction, future technical implementations, build vs. buy decisions and technical investigations. The Software Architect reports directly to the Vice President of Architecture.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Direct and oversee the Software Architecture function by:

• Provide application architectural solutions to meet business requirements
• Provide architectural support for application development and modification activities
• Work with team members to develop architectural strategies and guidelines
• Recommend new technologies to management to develop robust applications
• Review and recommend improvements to existing application architectures
• Assist in application design, development, integration, and implementation activities
• Analyze and troubleshoot architecture related issues in a timely fashion
• Assist in Junior Architects in their assigned responsibilities when required
• Provide guidance to project teams in all phases of SDLC.
• Assist in developing architecture documents, functional specifications, design documents, and architecture diagrams.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• BS/BA in Computer Science or a related degree
• 8+ years of experience in IT Applications Development
• Experience with Microsoft Azure Deployments
• Coding experience in .NET stack
• Knowledge of current development practices in QA, CI/CD and Development
• In-depth knowledge of IT and Computer Science Principles
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Analytical mind with problem-solving aptitude
• Ability to work independently
• Excellent organizational and leadership skills
