Overview:

The Senior Training Specialist will join the Learning & Development Team and report directly to the Director of Training & Development. The role will primarily focus on developing and delivering training content to employees in order to better understand changes in policies, procedures, regulations, and technologies. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of success in designing and implementing effective training programs, excellent communication and leadership skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with all levels of the organization.

Responsibilities:

• Confer with management and SME’s to gain knowledge of work situations requiring training for employees to better understand changes in policies, procedures,

regulations, and technologies.

• Conduct needs assessments to identify gaps in employee knowledge and skills, and recommend appropriate training solutions.
• Develop and deliver train-the-trainer programs to ensure consistent and effective delivery of training across the organization.
• Develop teaching outlines and determine instructional methods, utilizing knowledge of specified training needs and effectiveness of such methods as SOPs, elearning,

instructor led training, including assessments and scorecards to measure learner
proficiency and evaluate training effectiveness.

• Head training sessions covering specified areas such as those concerned with on-the-job training, refresher training, and leadership development.
• Partner with subject matter experts and stakeholders to identify training needs and design solutions that align with business objectives.
• Drive organizational change initiatives through the development and delivery of change management training and communication plans.
• Evaluate training effectiveness and make recommendations for improvement.
• Measure and report on the effectiveness of training programs using key performance indicators (KPIs).
• Manage and maintain training records and documentation.
• Administer and manage the Learning Management System (LMS) to ensure that all training materials are current and up-to-date.
• Keep up-to-date with new training techniques and technologies.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Education, Human Resources, or related field. Masters degree is a plus.
• 7+ years of experience in training and development, with a focus on leadership development, technical training, and soft skills training.
• Strong understanding of adult learning theories, teaching methodologies and instructional design mechanics
• Experience writing reference materials, procedures and end-user guides
• Experience managing projects from intake through deployment phases with training management team
• Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong organizational and project management skills.
• Experience in LMS administration.
• Experience with change management and driving organizational change initiatives.
• Proficiency in training development software and learning management systems.
• Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work under tight deadlines.
