We are looking for a Staff Accountant who is energetic, fun, entrepreneurial and believes in working hard. We are looking for someone with strong personal organizational skills and a positive attitude to assist with office duties and provide support throughout the organization. The ideal candidate is comfortable with a multi-functional role who is eager to assist throughout the organization.
Essential Job Duties:
- Day-to-day general accounting oversight, including AP/AR, payroll and cash management
- Prepare standard monthly journal entries, consistent with GAAP requirements
- Review monthly pay applications
- Assist in annual tax preparation and work with tax accountants
- Actively participate with policies and procedure documentation and maintenance
- Prepare monthly reconciliations of general ledger accounts
- Assist with month end close process
- Verify monthly vender payments with subcontractors
- Assist with front desk and office management duties
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting
- Construction Accounting experience
- Experience in AIA pay applications, subcontractor billings, percentage of completion and job costing accounting
- Knowledge of general accounting policies, procedures and software
- Intermediate level knowledge of Excel
- Demonstrate ability to multi-task and to manage multiple priorities
- Willingness to wear multiple hats
- Ability to work independently, be self-directed and self-motivated
- Strong work ethic and positive attitude
