We are seeking a Staff Accountant to join our team in Oshkosh WI.

The Staff Accountant will perform bank reconciliations, account reconciliation and assist in other daily, weekly, monthly, and yearly statement preparations. The Staff Accountant will also assist controller in establishing, monitoring and enforcing policies, procedures, and internal control.

Job Functions:

• Provide reconciliations for balance sheet and expense accounts
• Assist with journal entries and account analysis
• Process accounts receivable items in a timely manner
• Process accounts payable items in a timely manner
• Process weekly payroll in a timely manner
• Prepare bank deposits and post to accounting system
• Intercompany reconciliations
• Maintain fixed asset schedules
• Assist with resolving any discrepancies or accounting issues
• Assist with preparing month and year-end close
• Assist in completion of special projects
• Organize work files and documents
• Transmit employee 401(k) withholdings on weekly/bi-weekly basis
• Assist in State and Federal income tax return preparation
• Assist in annual budget preparation

Knowledge, Skills & Experience:

• Accounting degree preferred
• 2-4 years of Accounting Experience
• Working knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles, knowledge of manual and automated accounting systems
• Knowledge of computer systems, Word, Excel and proficiency using 10-key adding machine
• Ability to handle multiple tasks
