Staff Clinical Psychologist 3

The Staff Clinical Psychologist 3 (SCP-3) is a NJ licensed track position that offers doctoral level clinicians the opportunity to work with patient populations within an inpatient setting conducting individual and group therapy. Therapy is conducted to treat a variety of clinical presentations including mood disorders, thought disorders, and personality disorders. The SCP-3 conducts psychoeducational and supportive therapy. Additionally, the SCP-3 conducts assessments that Identify clinical needs of patients to support clinical progress. They will administer, score, and interpret psychological testing to assess cognitive and personality functioning for diagnostic purposes. SCP-3’s assist in the development of comprehensive treatment plans as a core member of a multidisciplinary team by providing the results of psychological testing as well as report the clinical progress patients make who are receiving therapeutic intervention. SCP- 3’s has a multitude of opportunities for post-doctoral training in Forensic Psychology- (Competency Restoration/ Risk Assessment), Geriatrics, Serious and Persistent Mental Illness (SPMI), DBT intervention, and collaborative opportunities with BCBA’s working on Positive Behavioral Support units- (token economies). They receive ongoing clinical training by leading experts in the field of psychology and supervision by senior licensed psychologists. SCP-3’s maintains records according to hospital policy, including progress notes, assessments, and other required documentation. They will utilize a computerized information system for recording patient information. SCP-3’s work 7-hours, 5 days per week with no weekends or on call duties. Preference is given to applicants with a Doctoral Degree in Psychology (PhD, PsyD, or EdD) and must meet all the Civil Service Commission requirements.

At the beginning of employment, the SCP-3 position includes the following benefits:

• Salary Range: $75,778.40 – $94,376.42
