Set on 6 acres of beautifully landscaped grounds just 5 minutes from the N1 and 10 minutes from the M50 in North County Dublin, Beechtree presents a more forward-thinking approach to nursing and retirement care. Our Ethos is based on respecting resident’s privacy and dignity whilst striving to preserve their independence. At Beechtree we accommodate both short- term stay for respite/convalescence and long-term care.

Key areas of responsibility

Full Time Permanent Position: successful candidate must be available for day and night duties

Successful candidate must have fluent English and must:

Ensure a high standard of Resident focussed Nursing care according to policies available

Delegate duties to Care Assistants as required and assist and supervise in their delivery of care to the residents

Assist residents in their daily activities and activities of daily living, as in plan of care

Prepare and update patient specific care plans for residents, Involve the resident and their family in plan of care

Assess, plan, implement & evaluate nursing care

Communicate with relatives/family members as required

Document care provided and any incidents that occur

Teach and guide other staff members

Participate in in-service training & education

Keep up to date with current research

What you should have

Qualifications and skills required

Must be a fully qualified Nurse

Must be registered with the NMBI

Nursing Home experience preferable but not essential

Must have genuine interest in Care of the Elderly

Must demonstrate willingness to take part in training and advance professional knowledge

Excellent English and communication skills

Willing to work as part of a team

Must have a friendly manner

Must have own transport - whilst we are close to Dublin we are not on a public transport route
