Applications are invited from suitably qualified and experienced personnel for this new and exciting position.
This is a new and exciting role within the stores and supply team at Tara responsible for ensuring completeness and accuracy of inventory. We are seeking a proactive, flexible, problem-solving operative to lead new initiatives around our inventory processes including inventory receipts, inventory issues, cycle counting, reconciliation and reporting. The role will involve extensive use of our ERP system (Maximo) including management of inventory master data and engagement with several stakeholders across the stores and supply function and the wider Tara Mines business.

Your Job – your tasks will include but are not limited to:
  • Responsible for safeguarding Tara Mines inventory
  • Responsible for implementing a system that ensures all Tara Mines inventory is cycle counted
  • Investigation and resolution of all inventory discrepancies (following cycle counts) and implementation of corrective actions and processes to eliminate repetitive errors
  • Checking the receipt of goods into the warehouse and receipting on ERP system (goods inwards)
  • Accurate selection of inventory for issue to internal end users\contractors (issuing)
  • Use of forklift where required to load\unload inventory items in a safe and responsible manner
  • Responsible for answering inventory inquiries from all departments in a timely manner
  • Assist in updating inventory descriptions in our ERP and adding new inventory parts to the catalogue when required
  • Preforming other related duties as required by your supervisor including relief for other members of the team
  • Follow company standards and safety procedures at all times
  • Responsible for providing the highest level of standards to our end users and to act in a professional manner at all times

Experience & Qualifications
  • Leaving Cert or equivalent is required.
  • 3 years+ warehouse experience.
  • Experience in working in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Applications. Word, Excel, Outlook.
  • Experience of IBM Maximo an advantage
Additional Info:
  • This role will be full time, Mon – Fri basis from 8am – 16.30pm and will require working on surface & underground including cover as required.
