Summary:

Directly responsible for procuring goods and services such as raw materials, equipment, tools, parts, supplies to subcontractors, and capital assets in support of the CCLP Field Operations group. Will be responsible for material support for the CCLP Distribution Center Day to day operations including some logistics. Directly responsible for providing analytical data in support of strategic sourcing, supplier performance and evaluation, in accordance with CCLP Supply Chain policies.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Actively participates in CCLP Safety Program
  • Develop, implement, and manage strategies and plans to support the Strategic Sourcing process
  • Perform spend analytics, market research and cost modeling
  • identify opportunities for spend leverage and drive supplier negotiations
  • Actively monitor industry trends and best practices
  • Ensure quality, stable supply of materials/services, monitor the timeliness of the deliveries/performance, and identify patterns
  • Identify and pursue opportunities to lower the total cost of goods; provide supply planning and analysis; and conduct supplier performance and relationship management
  • Coordinates the work of personnel engaged in receiving, issuing, and delivering supplies and equipment.
  • Maintains procurement records such as items or services purchased costs, delivery, product quality or performance, and inventories. Monitors procurement records to meet company requirements
  • Analyzes market and delivery conditions to determine present and future material availability, and prepare reports such as Business Cases, Lease vs Buy proposals, Economic Justifications.
  • Develops and manages a system to evaluate vendor quotations that utilize appropriate negotiation and purchasing techniques to ensure best quality, price, delivery, and service
  • Recruits and maintains suppliers that provide high quality products and services at a better price while maintaining the highest code of ethics and conduct.
  • Prepares and issues purchase orders and change notices.
  • Reviews purchase order claims, contracts, and invoices for conformance to company policy.
  • Prepares and reviews contracts, bids, proposals, and vendor agreements for legal correctness, price, and acceptability of items to specifications.
  • Oversees activities related to procurement of parts for restocking purposes, including reorder points, minimum order quantities.
    • May include overseeing the purchase of tools, supplies, and equipment.
    • Following some purchases from receipt to issuing to Work Orders.
  • Negotiates or supervises the negotiation of requests for equipment, supplies, and services from suppliers and subcontractors.
  • Ensures procured items are supplied with adequate documentation and that all documentation is made available to the engineering staff.
  • Works with Product Line, Engineering and/or Operations staff closely
  • Works with suppliers to obtain product or service information such as price, availability, and delivery schedule
  • Expedites delivery of goods to users.
  • Leads or assists Strategic Sourcing projects and the Strategic Sourcing group
  • Assist the Corporate AP department with resolving supplier payment and system issues
  • Assist Finance/Accounting departments with Forecasting and Budgeting
  • Collects, interprets, and analyzes relevant division spending as it relates to Strategic Sourcing & Supplier Performance evaluations in accordance with Supply Chain policies
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements:

Education and/or Experience:

  • 5+ years of Inventory Management, Strategic Sourcing, Procurement and/or related experience required
  • Knowledge of natural gas engines and compressors a plus
  • International experience a plus
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Bachelor’s Degree in business, Economics, or Supply Chain preferred
  • Licenses/certifications: Supply Chain certifications – CPIM or CSCP (APICS), or CPSM (ISM) a plus
  • Possess and maintain a valid Driver’s License with clean driving record and have reliable transportation
  • Ability to possess and maintain OSHA compliant forklift certification
  • Able and willing to travel overnight to other locations as needed, such as CSI regional offices & field locations

  • Ability to speak Spanish and Portuguese a plus

Mathematical Skills:

  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, proportions, margins, percentages, area, circumference, and volume

Reasoning Ability:

  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form

Computer Skills:

  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office, including, Word, Outlook with a strong emphasis on Excel and PowerPoint required - Working knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics 365 a plus
