Job description
Cimarron is seeking Mid and Senior-level Structural & Payload Design Engineers to support a large aerospace and defense customer in Oklahoma City, OK. These positions are supporting a 1-year contract.
This opportunity offers a competitive salary and the opportunity for additional cash-in-lieu of benefits.
Key Duties:
- Develop, integrate, and document structural requirements to establish the system design.
- Coordinate with other engineering groups to establish the product's environment.
- Guide product design and verify structural integrity by using analytical methods, finite element models and/or simulations, and other analysis tools throughout the product lifecycle to develop the structural environment, characteristics, and performance.
- Develop test plans and configurations, support test execution, and analyze and/or report test results to validate and verify systems and components meet requirements and specifications.
- Define and document certification and test results for customers and regulatory agencies to ensure that requirements are satisfied.
- Support in-service products by investigating failures and analyzing improvements.
Additional Key Duties for Senior-Level:
- Lead the development, integration, and documentation of structural requirements to establish the system design.
- Lead the development of test plans and configurations, support test execution, and analyze and/or report test results to validate and verify systems and components meet requirements and specifications.
- Develop analytical processes and/or tools to improve the effectiveness, quality, and efficiency of the development effort.
- Work under minimal direction.
Required Skills, Experience, and Education:
- Due to facility requirements, only U.S. Citizens are eligible for consideration at this time.
- Cimarron employees are required to follow federal, state, and local laws regarding COVID-19 practices, as well as customer requirements.
- Ability to obtain Secret U.S. Security Clearance.
- Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, or Chemistry.
- Bachelor's degree and 5 or more years of experience, Master's degree and 3 or more years of experience, or Ph.D.
Additional Required Skills, Experience, and Education for Senior-Level:
- Bachelor's degree and 9 or more years of experience, Master's degree and 7 or more years of experience, or Ph.D. and 4 or more years of experience.
