Job Description

Student recruitment for the University of Missouri (Mizzou) by promoting high school and undergraduate college relations, providing information concerning application procedures and college planning and providing general information about Mizzou to prospective students and their parents.

  • Inform and assist prospective students and their parents about Mizzou’s academic programs and admissions requirements. This includes on-campus and off-campus visits and events. Answering emails and letters of inquiry from prospective students. Presenting admissions sessions to groups ranging from 20-300 people.
  • Extensive overnight travel required (primarily in Missouri) on a regular basis representing Mizzou at recruitment functions in high schools. Heaviest times September-November and February-April. Territory management of prospective students through phone, letter and email contact.
  • Daily on campus presentations to high school students, and their families, visiting Mizzou.
  • Attend on and off campus student recruitment activities. (Extensive evening and weekend hours required.)
  • Develop recruitment strategy for assigned territory, including reviewing and analyzing data to determine schools, fairs and events to attend. Schedules visits to high schools, coordinates pre-visit calls and correspondence, makes travel arrangements, conducts visits, and follows up with students, faculty and staff contacted during visits via phone calls, letters, and e-mail.
  • Attend training sessions to maintain knowledge of current information on degree programs, residential life and financial aid issues.
  • Other duties as assigned. Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
  • Valid driver’s license required

Salary

Salary Range: $19.00/hr-$21.00/hr
GGS Grade: 007

Shift

40 hours/week, some evening and weekend responsibilities may be required.


Minimum Qualifications

A Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary


Preferred Qualifications

Very strong consideration is given to applicants with an undergraduate degree from Mizzou. Initiative, creativity, and the ability to work in a flexible environment. High energy enthusiasm.
