Position Information
Under general supervision and defined guidelines from the Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) Department Graduate Student Services Supervisor, and in close consultation with the Faculty Graduate and Undergraduate Student Advisor for the Computer Engineering (CEN) Program, and Graduate Advisors for the Robotics and Computational Data Science (CDS) programs, the incumbent is responsible for the coordination and administration of various aspects of the CSE, CEN, Robotics and Computational Data Science academic programs with special focus on the graduate program to provide advising and administrative support to the faculty, staff and students of a large dynamic, diverse and complex teaching and research environment. The incumbent also interfaces with the BCOE Student Affairs Office to facilitate and support undergraduate education program objectives, course changes and scheduling. The major functional areas include (1) Outreach, Recruitment and Admission; (2) Student Advising; (3) Course Scheduling; (4) Enrollment Management; (5) Program Management and Development: and (6) Special Projects and Events. The incumbent will also attend faculty meetings, take notes and prepare minutes of the meetings. The incumbent may conduct curriculum advisement, assessment and matriculation of prospective and current students on academic matters. Researches and performs student counseling regarding the University's admission requirements, available curricular and academic programs, housing, scholarships and financial aid. The incumbent represents the Department at meetings, conferences and events; conducts student outreach and orientation sessions. Develops, presents, and coordinates content and material for marketing and recruitment efforts and updates the CEN, Robotics and CDS programs’ website; performs research to assist the department with accreditation and assessment (internal and external) reviews. **The budgeted hiring range for this position is $56,100.00 - $72,700.00.
