Student Strategic Research Assistant
The ASU Foundation (ASUF) fosters partnerships between ASU and like-minded individuals, corporations and foundations who believe in ASU’s mission and provide resources for ASU to manifest its charter into meaningful impact.
The Student Strategic Research Assistant is a student worker role within the Research and Prospect Management Team. They will update biographical profiles, essential for helping identify and prioritize the cultivation of relationships with current and potential donors and collaborators, and will assist with document archival and organization.
This position will require approximately 10 - 20 hours per week in scheduled shifts between 8am and 5pm, Monday through Friday. Additional hours may be allowed during school breaks and over the summer. Start date is flexible.

What you’ll do:

Organize and track past research projects, linking documents to the appropriate contact

Assist in building profiles for or lists of current and prospective partners
-
Create research briefs and reports for leadership as needed
-
Improve efficiency of internal reporting

Uphold all fundraising and prospect research professional standards and expectations Other duties as assigned
What you'll need:

Inquisitive, willing, and driven to learn

Computer skills including knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams, PowerPoint)

Ability to learn new software programs as needed

Strong interpersonal skills and an ability to communicate effectively in person and in writing

Ability to work both independently and in a team, who can take initiative and set priorities while being flexible

Attention to detail and thoroughness in completing assigned duties

Ability to maintain a high degree of confidentiality and responsibility regarding information related to Foundation and University business and confidential prospect information
Preferred skills and abilities:
-
Ability to commit to working at least two consecutive semesters

Data management skills as this position may work with large datasets
-
Experience with a CRM platform
Relevant qualifications:
A current undergraduate or graduate student at Arizona State University. Student must be willing to sign and abide by a confidentiality agreement.
Preferred education and experience:
Students with an interest in non-profit leadership, business information systems and/or data management encouraged to apply.
