AMHC is excited to announce the search for the newest opening in our Ellsworth area. The SUD Peer Support Specialist

is responsible for providing SU peer support services to individuals who are either seeking SU recovery services, SU treatment services, or are in SU treatment. The SU Peer Support Specialist focuses on offering Peer Recovery Coaching within our AMHC-designated services. The chosen candidate must demonstrate the core values of AMHC by showing Integrity, Compassion, Excellence, Service, Collaboration, and Respect to co-workers, clients, and community members.

Qualifications:

• A minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent is required
• The individual must be in recovery.
• The individual must be willing to self-identify

Responsibilities & Expectations:

• Demonstrate Compassionate recovery-based values building meaningful opportunities for individuals to use their skills.
• Collaborate with the peer support team to build a daily schedule and ensure that all policies and procedures are followed to uphold the Integrity of the program
• Cultivate a Respectful, positive, and trusting relationship with the community and peers to demonstrate the Service focus philosophy of AMHC
• Demonstrate an Excellence in service expected of AMHC, by supporting advocacy and role-modeling by openly sharing with the community.

Schedule:

• This is a 40-hour per week non-exempt position

• All AMHC Employment requires Covid vaccination
