Welcome to ECYC! We are a NAEYC accredited, high quality child development center in Rahway, NJ.

We are seeking a Floating Teacher to work in our school-age summer camp program, who is a dedicated Early Childhood professional with talent to interact and engage with children ranging in ages from 4-12. Must have flexibility and initiative to use their skills to interact and engage children in age-appropriate activities.

Responsibilities:

• Supports and assists primary teacher in the room who is most familiar with the group of children
• Has intentional interactions with the children in a developmentally appropriate way for that age group
• Follows routines of the room
• Implements and organizes the lessons and activities planned by the lead teacher that day
• Writes daily tracking sheets
• Completes observations using the Tadpoles App.

Qualifications:

• Highschool Diploma
• Able to work alternating hours during the week. Shifts are 7:30am to 3:30pm and 10am to 6pm
• Must be flexible and comfortable working with different age groups and staff members
• Some knowledge of child development across ages

Preferred:

• CDA or enrolled in CDA program OR
• Previous experience as a Floating Teacher OR
• Some years of experience with children
