Summer Intern 2023 - Site Reliability Operations Analyst

Start date: June 2023 (9 week intern program)

Location: Dublin, Ireland

Candidates must be graduating in 2024 to be eligible for this role

As a Site Reliability Operations Analyst, you will be the cornerstone of our efforts to ensure Salesforce’s success by helping improve the high availability and performance of our IT services to scale with the company’s fast growth. The Site Reliability Operations Analyst is one who has knowledge of IT infrastructure and contributes to the rapid internal incident response. The role is part of our 24/7 global operations team, and you will be part of a shift rotation with other engineers in the region. The position is a day shift only, and weekend coverage might be required. The BT Site Reliability Operations team is split across three global locations to provide follow-the-sun coverage and to minimize the requirement for engineers to work outside of business hours.

Responsibilities:

• Manage and maintain monitoring of corporate IT infrastructure (servers, storage, applications, network)

• Triage systems, network, and storage issues impacting multiple users

• Control and coordinate IT Infrastructure changes performed simultaneously by multiple engineers

• Automate repetitive manual tasks and processes

• Manage tickets related, but not limited to, incidents, system(s) diagnostics/troubleshooting, network/system upgrades

• Support day-to-day activities in monitoring platforms.

• Present and communicate complex ideas and features with the team.

• Documentation of processes or Automation developed as per team standards

Required Skills:

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent, graduating in 2024

• Keen understanding of Technology

• Any experience in scripting in any language

• Experience of working in a team

• Ability to adapt and learn quickly

• Demonstration of strong analytical skills.

• Ability to problem-solve in a fast-paced environment

• Strong verbal and written communication skills
