We are hiring Check In Staff for our aqua park and on-water ropes course. Come have fun with us this summer!

The park is open between May and September.

Your supervisor is our Aqua Park Manager.

The start date is between April 15th, 2023 and June 2nd, 2023.

This job is a great opportunity for students and graduates who have previous work experience from summer jobs and internships.

Who are we?
We are the Charleston Aqua Park and offer fun activities on and around the water at Trophy Lakes on Johns Island, only 15min from downtown Charleston:
A floating water activity course, an on-water ropes course, wakeboarding, paddle boarding, and summer camps.

Who are we looking for?

• You are a friendly, motivated and reliable people person.
• You are a self-starter who can work with minimal supervision.You have attention to detail while promoting a fun work atmosphere.
• You are a team player.
• You enjoy interaction with customers and do your best to let them have a great time.
• You like numbers and are at ease with operating a cash register and computers. We operate with cloud based systems.
• You have a good understanding of workflows, should be able to follow processes, and deal with hiccups as they happen.
• You are an excellent organizer and see cleanliness as part of your job duty.
• You are very safety conscious (our customers swim in the lake).
• You are physically fit – able to bend, twist & turn with flexibility as you will be working outdoors on and around water and in varying weather conditions.
• In a nutshell: The right applicant will be honest, punctual, hard-working and have experience in a customer facing role. You will be part of a team consisting of operational staff running the activities and the park as well as the general team members supporting the specific areas of the Park (Aqua Park, Floating Ropes Course, Wakeboard, Events).

What are your job tasks?

• As a Check In Staff member, you support our Aqua Park Manager in running the check in area.
• Your job is to welcome our guests, check them in for their session or sell them a ticket on the spot and to make sure that they find all they need during their stay.
• You help with checking waivers, wristbands & life jackets.
• We also expect you to give us a hand with the maintenance of the site (clean facility, prepare and stow away gear) and to delegate tasks as needed.
• You participate in frequent safety drills and trainings as required and are in charge of writing incident reports and reporting problems to your supervisor.

Nice to have: A first aid certification is a nice to have. You will receive lifeguard certification training as part of your job onboarding.

Must have: Work experience at a customer facing position.

Pay: $15.00 - $18.00 per hour
