Summer Swim Team (Multiple Branches)
Job description
This position supports the work of the Y, a leading charity committed to strengthening community. Assists the swim coach in building and maintaining a successful YMCA Swim Team. Duties include, but are not limited to, conducting swim practices and meets which abide by all applicable guidelines.

MANDATORY REQUIREMENTS FOR ALL AQUATIC POSITIONS
- AGE RESTRICTION: Minimum age of 16 years old.
- TESTING: Be able to pass a CDYMCA swim test, administered by the Aquatics Director or designated individual.
- CERTIFICATIONS: Valid CPR, AED, and First Aid
- SKILLS: Excellent organizational, communication and problem solving skills. Ability to relate effectively to diverse groups of people from all social and economic segments of the community.
SWIM INSTRUCTOR - $14.83 PER HOUR - ASSISTS WITH SWIM TEAM
REQUIRED DOCUMENT(S): NYS Working Papers (Under 18 yrs old), and VALID aquatic certifications.
- Minimum age of 16 years.
- Minimum of three years of experience in all levels of competitive swim participation at the scholastic, collegiate or club level.
- Previous swim team coaching experience required.
- Experience with Meet and Team Manager Software is preferred.
- Basic computer skills required.
- Current aquatic certifications (YMCA or American Red Cross).
