Summary of Responsibilities:

The Summit Clinical Manager is also responsible for formulating and implementing appropriate treatment plans for clients on their assigned caseloads and the therapist/s for timely and satisfactory documentation of all treatment efforts.

The Summit Clinical Manager is also responsible for directing, planning, coordinating, and supervising the effective and efficient use of clinical and case management related services for Summit Detox Inc, as well as overseeing and managing Nursing and Operational staff to ensure Summit detox is running efficiently, effectively and is fully staffed.

Essential Duties:

  • Develops and implements standards of clinical and medical as well as operational practice and case management protocols for the Company; provides clinical and case management expertise and input into the formulation of departmental policies and participates in strategic planning for the department; approves case management and clinical procedures; ensures that all staff is appropriately certified; develops orientation program for clinical staff as well as oversees medical and operations.
  • Creates and implement all clinical services, counseling, assessments, treatment plans and policies.
  • Ensures ongoing, thorough and effective care of all clients through practice, documentation, compliance and management of all facility staff.
  • Implements all departmental plans and policies.
  • Ensure all client and program records are in accordance with the Department of Children and Families applicable standards and regulations and is JHACO compliant.
  • Establishes and maintains on-going training programs for all staff; periodically reviews and updates departmental and clinical protocols to ensure they remain current; establishes and reviews department-wide and clinical performance measures and outcomes; provides direction and consultation to operations managers to improve clinical performance and outcomes; reviews clinical and medical aspects of staff performance and may recommend disciplinary actions.
  • Analyzes the utilization of clinical and departmental staff in order to improve efficiency and effectiveness of staff allocations and deployments; collaborates with department managers and staff to identify trends and departmental and clinical needs; develops long range plans for nursing needs and utilization; plans, develops and may implement new projects or programs.
  • Collaborates with departmental managers to identify and solve departmental issues requiring clinical and case management expertise; works to promote and enhance quality health care for clients.
  • May coordinate a variety of programs, develops and implements plans to improve access to client care and education for high-risk individuals; trains staff in counseling and case management techniques in order to improve the health of the various populations served by all Departments.
  • Participates in weekly leadership meetings and daily facility meetings to ensure ongoing and thorough client care and facility compliance.

  • Communicates regularly with the executive team for any ongoing issues, inter-facility communication and compliance, staffing or client issues; participates in bi-weekly QI meeting for inter-facility communication.
  • Serves as a link between the Summit staff and other departments, department heads and companies, represents the department on various committees.
  • Reviews and analyzes proposed legislation pertaining to clinical services for potential impacts to the department; prepares reports, plans, and advises department executives and managers of appropriate action.
  • Serves as a link between the clinical staff and other departments, represents the department on various committees.
  • Ensure that the rules, regulations and protocol are followed and maintained in the department and that Company policies are followed.
  • Provides leadership to assure compliance with local, state and federal regulations, clinical and case management practice standards.
  • Develops and maintains documentation systems for continuity of care and record storage that assures compliance with local, state and federal regulations and Summit Detox Inc. policies and procedures.
  • Maintain a reduced caseload of clients.
  • Ensures cleanliness of facility, Quality of Services provided , Housekeeping , Food etc
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • Adhere to all company policies and safety rules, guidelines & procedures.

Necessary Abilities:

  • Knowledge of Clients Rights and treats all clients with dignity and respect in a consistent caring manner understands the principles of addiction and psychiatric treatment
  • Knowledge of State & Federal Statutes Regarding Patient Confidentiality laws
  • Computer Knowledge a must, as well as experience with Electronic Medical Records systems
  • The Clinical Manager must have good communication and leadership skills and the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with coworkers
  • Must be able to communicate effectively both orally and in writing
  • The Clinical Managermust be able to represent the department on controversial issues with tact and diplomacy
  • Must be organized, disciplined, and have good management skills and the ability to motivate the clinical team.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Master’s Degree
  • Licensed MHC, SW or MFT OR
  • CAP Certification or CAP eligible
  • 2 Years of Related Professional Experience
  • Experience and confidence identifying and implementing evidence based practices
  • Experience working in crisis setting with individuals and families
  • Ability to work flexible hours
  • Program development, evaluation, solid organizational skills, and public speaking
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
