The Supervisor of Family Care Specialists will be responsible for the administrative oversight of the Family Care Specialists and consent to authorization process through effective approach management and monitoring of consent to authorization rates. This position requires an advanced level of expertise and overall understanding of the organ and tissue donation and transplantation process. The Family Care Specialists Supervisor periodically required to assume, a 24-hour responsibility in rotation with other Operations leadership and/or their staff.

Essential Job Functions:

Primary responsibilities are:

1. Provides direction of the approach/consent to authorization process.

2. Provides support and guidance for on-site staff.

3. Monitors all aspects of the approach process.

4. Oversees the training and orientation of all new staff.

5. Assists the AOC with FCS triage.

6. Reviews activity routinely with the Director, Donation Development.

7. Periodic on-site visits to observe approaches in the field.

8. Actively participates in after action reviews.

9. Actively participates in assigned committees.

10. Participates in approach to authorization process strategy meetings and case reviews.

11. Works collaboratively with the Director, Donation Development to perform FCS yearly evaluations.

12. Works collaboratively with team leaders of other departments.

13. Represents OneLegacy at local, regional and national meetings.

14. Required attendance at staff meetings. Required attendance at training programs and/or in-services as deemed necessary by the immediate manager, Director, or CEO.

15. Supports the organization’s Standards of Professional Conduct as outlined in the OneLegacy Policies and Procedures while adhering to the mission, vision and values of the organization.

16. Performs other duties as assigned by Manager, Donation Development.

Travel:

The Family Care Specialists Supervisor may be required to travel by personal auto or rental car to meet the duties and responsibilities of the position. Company reimbursement for personal auto use while on the job is consistent with IRS guidelines.

Work Hours:

Exempt employees shall be paid an established salary on a bi-weekly basis and are expected to fulfill the duties of their position regardless of hours worked. The workweek for full-time exempt employees is normally considered to be 40 hours; however, greater emphasis is placed on meeting the responsibilities assigned to the position than on working a specified number of hours. Exempt employees are not eligible to receive overtime compensation. Must be available evenings, holidays, and weekends as required.

The Supervisor, Family Care Specialists is required to assume 24-hour responsibility in rotation with other Operations leadership and/or their staff.

Job Qualifications:

Education:

Bachelor's degree or documented education in grief counseling preferred.

Experience:

Must have a minimum of three (3) years of supervisory experience. Health care environment preferred.

Certification/License:

OneLegacy requires employees to maintain a current California driver’s license and current vehicle insurance. Please refer to OneLegacy’s Policy HR108 - Licensure and Certification for insurance coverage requirements.

Equipment:

Reliable automotive transportation is required.
