The
Supervisor, Product Testing will lead a team of 6 Technicians that are responsible for the testing, analysis and troubleshooting of KDP Home Brewers and Appliances. This individual will oversee system and product testing, reporting, and process improvement. As an integral member of the product and test engineering operations team, The Supervisor Product Testing will partner closely with the engineering, regulatory and quality teams which help support in-depth product test execution and analysis.
Responsibilities:
- Plan, schedule and prioritize the team’s work
- Lead process improvements with cross functional teams
- Demonstrate proven leadership qualities that will foster a creative team work environment
- Identify, develop and maintain comprehensive processes that maintain best practices and efficient workflow
- Champion, coordinate and communicate status with key stakeholders on a regular basis
- Create summarized data reports and present to leadership in a clear and concise manner
- Develop and understand basic data metrics and Pareto charts
- Ensure the team is educated on basic software operations, mechanical assembly, regulatory, food safety, engineering evaluation, quality metrics, budgeting, and lean process thinking
- Lead the team in the testing and analysis of electromechanical home appliances
Requirements:
- Associates degree in an engineering discipline preferred
- 5+ years in test, analysis and troubleshooting of electromechanical products
- 2+ years directly supervising a team
- Experience working with engineering, quality and regulatory teams
- Proficient in developing and understanding data and Pareto charts as well as the ability to present and summarize to management
- Experience with estimating and forecasting staffing requirements, testing times, and relative costs to provide data for operational decisions
- Ability to work in a fast paced results oriented environment
- Ability to collaborate with multiple organizations within the company and lead improvement projects
- Strong computer skills in Word, Power Point, Visio, Excel, etc. are essential
- Experience with test and planning software, LIMs systems strongly preferred
- Experience in Statistics and six sigma principles a plus
