Key Responsibilities
Risk based Food Safety and Quality audits of new and current suppliers;
Assess compliance of systems, facilities, and procedures per applicable regulations through audits and assessments of our suppliers, assure compliance to regulatory requirements and company specifications;
Provide feedback in the form of audit observations and review corrective actions to determine if corrective actions and commitments have been properly; implemented, proven to be effective and are being maintained at the supplier;
Utilisation, management and development of the ARIBA on line tool for Supplier approval and documentation maintenance;
Generation & maintenance of approved supplier & material lists and relevant documentation. Document related Sops and supplier standard docs;
Support Site Quality Teams in audit readiness regarding supplier approval and documentation. Supports the 3rd Party Quality Manager role as require;
Track & report supplier complaint KPIs and engage with suppliers to resolve escalated or repeat issues. Understand Tirlán production and quality processes to support this;
Lead supplier engagement and resolution in relation to Critical incidents / Business Continuity events;
Participate in strategic initiatives to improve compliance to regulatory requirements and standards including contaminant and recall programs;
Manage formal risk assessment & performance review of suppliers annually
Participate in continuous improvement & NPD projects as required to meet business strategic goals.

Key Requirements Science/Nutrition based qualification, to post-graduate level (B.Sc as minimum), preferably post grad qualification; A high-calibre scientific industry expertise with strong risk awareness and commercial savvy, minimum 7+ years relevant work experience in similar or related role; A track record of working in the Irish/European dairy industry/ Ingredient industry. Experienced with Supplier audits, Internal audits and GFSI standards; Experienced in complaint management and resolution, problem solving techniques, recall management; A proven ability of successfully developing and cultivating relationships with third parties and suppliers; Risk Awareness; Organisational Agility; Interpersonal Savvy; Detail focused; Conflict Management; Problem Solving; Domestic and European (plus some international) travel required.
