JOB SUMMARY

Efficiently requisition, pick and deliver designated departments' supplies using Multiview (MV) and Pyxis. Complete assigned Pyxis inventories weekly. Check outdates in assigned areas monthly. Keep supply areas and receiving dock clean and organized. Works with Sage Living Leadership and Materials Business Partner (MBP) to provide clinically acceptable products at the best price. Maintains awareness of products used throughout St. John's Health to meet supply requests from Sage Living and promote standardization. Generally works independently, working with Sage Living's MBP or Materials Manager as needed.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Supply Requisitions and Restocking

Restock Sage Living neighborhood and Inpatient Rehab Facility (IRF) supplies.

Update Pyxis inventory discrepancies, if any, while completing Pyxis refills. Rotate stock while refilling Pyxis and floorstock locations.

Pick department reqs within 24 hours of submission. Deliver department req's if on-site. If off-site, package & label for courier to deliver.

Requisition & shelve orders for Sage Living Environmental Services Enter Amazon orders for Sage Living.

Receiving

Acts as the Receiving Clerk for Sage Living. Enter receipts in Multiview for Materials Management purchases. Assists in shelving supplies for Dietary & Environmental Services. Signs for deliveries and packages, sorting & delivering packages to their final destination.

Scan packing slips for record retention & research purposes.

Breakdown and recycle cardboard.

Inventory Management

Complete assigned Pyxis inventories. Check expiration dates for assigned Pyxis and floorstock areas monthly. Inventory Sage Living Participate in annual Warehouse and Pyxis inventory.

Update inventory discrepancies, notifying the Materials Manager of any significant discrepancies.

Complete initial research for back-ordered & stock-out/low-inventory items, contact the Sage Living MBP as needed for additional follow-up.

Keeps supply carts and bins labeled and clean.

Department Responsibilities & Projects

Complete assigned projects in a timely manner to improve department operations and level of service. Problem solve and take initiative to complete tasks. Maintains, develops and updates specific skills via training review (ie. postal machine, Pyxis training and shipping software). Helps out in other areas of the department during staff shortages. Attends and actively participates in department staff meetings. Participates in annual emergency preparedness and SDS training.

Customer Service & Process Improvement

Deliver exceptional customer service to internal & external customers following St. John's Health Mission & Vision and Values, using AIDET, service with HEART as needed. Acknowledge and assist visitors to the Materials Department. Respond to inquires while traveling around Sage Living & St. John's Health.

Contribute to on-going process improvement, helping to identify issues and create solutions.

May need to fill in for another team member or department task as needed.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Minimum Education

Required: High school diploma/GED.

Preferred: Associate or Bachelor's degree in a related field.

Minimum Work Experience

Required: Two to four years related work experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Must posses good communication, interpersonal and customer service skill. Basic computer skill. Must be a team player, working well with co-workers and other hospital staff, while also being able to work independently.

Preferred: Prefer at least 1 year of warehouse/logistics/shipping/inventory experience. Prefer prior healthcare experience.

Required Licenses: Valid Driver's License for state of residence, ability to operate courier vehicles in a safe manner while positively representing St. John's Health.

FUNCTIONAL DEMANDS

Working Conditions: Primary work area is an office/healthcare setting, with occasional work in the Storeroom. May be exposed to outside weather in a variety of conditions. May be expected to operate vehicles in a variety of road conditions, including snow and ice with limited visibility. May spend time outdoors walking between buildings & vehicle and driving in all weather/road conditions.

Physical Requirements: 15% of the day standing, walking, pushing carts. 85% of the day sitting at computer. Must be able to lift at least 55 pounds. Operates MMIS & Pyxis computer systems by typing and using mouse. Must be able to operate courier vehicle. Able to lift, bend, stoop, push, pull and reach above shoulders. Occasional stooping, bending and lifting to receive and shelve products. Using carts, transports supplies around the facility.
