Supply Chain Manager – FTC 12 Months

Fort Henry, Ballina Onsite 4-5 days per week

As Supply Chain Manager you will support planning activities in the manufacturing site including the development of planning processes and systems. Take a leading role on continuous improvement projects within the warehouse, such as SOP enhancements, supply chain functionalities, distribution and demand planning, with 6 team members in the manufacturing, warehouse, and sales order processing reporting directly to you.

LGC’s Clinical Diagnostics Business Unit develops and manufactures a comprehensive portfolio of catalogue and custom-developed diagnostic quality solutions and component materials for the extended life sciences industry.

We partner with IVD assay developers, and pharmaceutical, CRO and academic institutions in commercialization activities across the entire diagnostic pipeline - from concept and early stage research, through expedited product development and onwards into routine clinical use. Laboratorians and diagnostic professionals across disciplines of clinical chemistry, immunochemistry, serology, molecular diagnostics and clinical genomics rely on LGC’s products to support accurate and reliable diagnostic results.

Responsibilities

  • Leading the sales order processing team and processes to delivery customer orders on time and in full.
  • Take a leading role at site planning meetings and work directly with all groups involved in the manufacturing process.
  • Leading the warehouse team including scheduling of work/performance reviews etc.
  • Ensure the production schedule is reflected correctly in SAP.
  • Responsible for the proper capacity and storage of warehouse materials including our 3rd party storage facilities.
  • Collate forecasting data on a monthly basis from customers (internal / external) and present clear and consolidated demand picture to the wider business.
  • Ensure all work carried out, complies with the required standards, conforming to company, GMP, SOP's and regulatory guidelines.
  • Experience in managing vendor relationships, monitoring vendor performance and improving this performance.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • Degree in Supply Chain/Logistics/Warehouse Management is essential.
  • Departmental Leadership experience necessary.
  • SAP or similar ERP systems needed, ideally with experience of either ERP introduction or ERP enhancement projects.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate well both verbally and in writing.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to prioritise.
  • Strong Organisational skills.
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
