We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Supply Chain Planner to join our Supply Chain team at Bunzl Ireland.

Job purpose:

To service the customer by delivering high levels of stock availability against targets.

To ensure stock levels are kept in line with business targets on your designated accounts.

To be proactive in working to minimise and lower the total stock holding without negatively impacting availability and impact to the customer.

To actively reduce and remove slow moving and obsolete stock from the business.

To work in line with the business COGS and MAGIC values.

Key accountabilities:

· Customer account Stock Availability – To meet the company ABC target level of 99.5% on stock lines, and 100% target on customer critical S lines

· Customer account Stock Holding – In line with budgeted stock weeks and value for nominated accounts, and overall responsibility for the management of the stock holding

· Customer account Slow, excess and Obsolete stock – Minimise overstocks through accurate forecasting, active management of the stock flow, and returning of stock to suppliers.

· Purchase order sign off in line with DOA

· Building and managing relationships with internal stakeholders on your designated accounts, in terms of forecasting, planned allocations, seasonal activity

· Stock out root cause analysis, and prevention

· Customer order book is in line with target dates

· Liaise with service delivery contact as per engagement plan

· Effective communication with all areas of the business

· Ensure business risks are escalated in a timely manner

· All reports and tasks are completed to agreed timescales.

· Stock control monthly KPI review

· Stock weeks

· Lost Orders

· Backorders

· Stock holding value

· Slow moving stock levels and value

· Obsolete stock levels and value

· Overall team performance

· Order books in line with target

· Team morale

Responsibilities of role:

  • Forecasting / demand management
  • New line forms and placement of orders relating to this
  • Order expediting
  • ABC category management
  • Back order reporting
  • New store opening availability

Experience and Additional Requirements

Previous experience within a planning team / function. Good with data and comfortable analysing the numbers. Excellent working knowledge of Excel. Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office and SAGE X3 (Desirable).
